Meet the makers: Pierre Frey

Pierre Frey was founded in 1935 in the heart of Paris in the same building where located today.

A man in a green jacket and hat leans against a cabinet filled with folded fabrics in a room with framed art, wooden shelves, and a wooden dining table.

Quintessentially French, Pierre Frey has an eye for colours and quality, inspired by more than 30,000 French textiles dating from the 16th century, modern pieces form a contemporary twist giving a second life to archive fabrics.

A table displays various colorful, patterned fabric samples in a room with gray filing drawers lining the walls. Additional fabrics and documents are stored in baskets and shelves.

Pierre Frey worked with Soho Home to find specific geometrical patterns for the project. The fabrics chosen were African-inspired, created in 1928 and are some of the most-loved patterns from Pierre Frey.
