From social areas to bedrooms, carefully chosen materials play a key part in creating the atmosphere in our Houses. Think of the boucle armchair you relax into while enjoying a drink at the bar; or the heavy, velvet curtains you pull closed at the end of the day.

You'll find these velvet curtains framing the restored 19th-century windows of Soho House Paris, and patterned pairs revealing streets lined with palm trees in Soho House Barcelona. Handmade in the UK, all our ready-made curtains are designed to help you recreate these spaces at home. Choose between airy, sheer panels that let the light in, or natural linen and velvet options, available in select shades that match back to our made-to-order palette.

The collection

Introducing our three new curtain ranges – each one is inspired by our Houses and designed to complement a variety of interior styles

The Margeaux in velvet

Crafted from rich cotton velvet, our Margeaux curtains are available in three bespoke colours designed to perfectly complement our upholstery collection. A style seen across several of our Houses, including Soho House Paris, they're finished with trim detailing.

The Vinnie in linen

Inspired by the neutral interiors of Soho Farmhouse, these curtains are crafted from natural Belgian linen in three colour options, each of which is designed to match back to our made-to-order palette. This pair is fully lined in a ticking stripe.

The Wool Sheer

Available in four sizes, this sheer curtain panel is crafted from a lightweight, Italian-made wool fabric and is designed to bring a light, airy feel to any room. Hang it alone to provide privacy while filtering natural sunlight, or layer beneath our other curtain styles, just like we do in the Houses.

Swatches

If you're not sure about which style will work best in your space, you can order up to six complimentary swatches in each of the fabrics and colours listed above, to get a feel for how they look before making your decision.

As styled in the Houses

A number of factors should contribute to choosing the right curtains for your room, from your colour scheme and styling to what the room is used for. For example, our Wool Sheer curtain panel offers added privacy throughout the day without sacrificing natural light - making them a particularly good choice for bedrooms. You'll see similar sheer panels layered under heavier curtains throughout many of our Houses, such as Soho Farmhouse, where they're matched with other neutral shades.

We use heavy curtains in Babington House to create softness against wooden accents, such as bed frames and curtain poles; while in Miami Beach House, our curtains are chosen to complement the upholstery seen throughout the space. Replicate the look at home by using your curtains as a backdrop for our made-to-order upholstery or plain and patterned cushions.

How to hang your curtains

Designed to adapt to your space, all our curtains can be hung using curtain rings, or directly onto a pole or track.

We include detailed hanging information with every pair, but as a general rule, when measuring, your chosen pair of curtains should be roughly double the width of your window - bearing in mind that the lengths given are per curtain. This will help to achieve neat pleating at the top of the curtain; or, for a softer, more relaxed look, opt for a wider width for a looser gather.

Please note: we cannot accept returns on curtains that have had the drawstring pulled, so we ask that you make sure you're completely happy with, and intend to keep, your curtains before they are drawn.

Caring for your curtains

Due to the nature of the fabrics of our curtains, we recommend specific care instructions for each style. You can view care information on the product pages for all of our curtains before your purchase, and we include detailed instructions with delivery. You can also view our velvet care guide for tips on keeping our velvet styles, from our Margeaux curtains to our upholstery, looking their best.
