Part of a sequence of work originally created in the early pandemic to represent "new growth born from crisis".

Originally part of a sequence of artworks made in a cramped corner of the artist's apartment, this piece is a full-size iteration of a miniature piece made during the global pandemic. One of the first things he worked on during lockdown, the exaggerated simplicity of this mixed-media painting represents "new growth born from crisis".

About the artist

A Chelsea School of Art alumni, Kevin Jackson is based in London, with some of his work displayed in the city's prestigious British Museum. The artist often creates mixed-media abstract pieces as a way to analyse the place humans have in an increasingly virtual world.
