'Mahler 9 In Vita's Garden 34' by Philip Maltman

Out of stock

Part of a series of landscapes inspired by the historical gardens of Sissinghurst Castle.

This original artwork is inspired by the artist's multiple visits to Sissinghurst Castle Gardens. Once a run-down Elizabethan mansion, the house and its gardens were renovated by author, poet and gardener Victoria 'Vita' Mary Sackville-West and her husband.

About the artist

Philip Maltman is an abstract artist shortlisted for the John Moores painting prize. Born in Ayrshire, a historic country on the coast of Scotland, he is known for exploring the littoral zone through his work - the area of shoreline where the sea meets the land.
