Diagrammatic broom-like brush strokes on a disrupted, under-sketched field of oranges and earthy reds.

The artist uses a mix of varnish, dry pastel and modelling paste for this piece, combining shades of pale magenta and printemps yellow to create an original, abstract artwork. He uses scissors and shears to create straight marks on the canvas.



About the artist

A Chelsea School of Art alumni, Kevin Jackson is based in London, with some of his work displayed in the city's prestigious British Museum. The artist often creates mixed-media abstract pieces as a way to analyse the place humans have in an increasingly virtual world.
