While often it's the most difficult piece to get right, a rug is one of the main focal points to tie a room together. Our size-by-room plan will help you find the best size and style for every area of the home.

Living room

When looking for a living room rug, take note of your various layout options. Placing one under larger furniture items, like a coffee table or sofa, brings added depth and texture

Bedroom

As well as balancing out the room, a well-sized rug provides comfort underfoot when stepping out of bed

Dining room

Your rug should be large enough to fit your dining room table and all dining chairs to sit on, even when pulled out. A rule of thumb is to allow 30 to 60cm from the edge of your dining table to the edge of the rug
